How we analyze the composition

We use Reflective NIR spectroscopy, 1550-1950 nm with AI identification algorithms.

This technology measures these unique light absorption patterns and analyzes them to identify the fabric material.

This makes it possible to determine:

  • Whether the fabric is cotton, polyester, wool, etc.

  • Whether it is a blended material.

   • The approximate composition of mixed fabrics.

What is the flow until you know the composition?

3. Send you fabric to our studio in London
1. You can order as much fabric as you want us to analyze.
2. Prep your fabric
4. We will analyse your fabrics
5. We will let you know the result via email

Your fabric needs to be a minimum of 10cm × 10cm. We can't analyze less than the size of the fabric.

Please mark the same number on both the original fabric and the 10 cm × 10 cm sample you send for analysis. When fabrics have similar colors or textures, it can be difficult to accurately match them using images alone. Numbering the fabrics will help you easily identify which analysis result corresponds to each original fabric.

We can also analyse your pre-made clothes to know the real composition

We are not responsible for any loss during shipping, so we recommend using a tracked or high-security shipping service. If you would like your fabrics or garments returned, you can select a return shipping option on the payment page.

We will let you know via email or you can choose the physical option if you need your fabric back.
